Né à Dieppe, j'ai vécu dans cette région toute mon enfance puis, pour des raisons professionnelles, je me suis installé à Pont-Audemer.

 

     Initié à la peinture à l’huile par mon grand-père, Jean Leroy, j’ai longtemps pratiqué cette technique avant de me consacrer plus volontiers à l’aquarelle dont j’apprécie le rendu particulier et la transparence. 

 

      Les hautes falaises blanches, les immenses hêtraies et les jolies chaumières de Normandie constituent les principales sources de mon inspiration.

I was born in Normandy. I spent my childhood in the Dieppe area.

Because of my job, I moved to Pont-Audemer, where I’ve been living for the past 34 years.

Very early, I was initiated to oil painting by my grandfather, Jean Leroy.

 I practised this technic for years before devoting myself to watercolour with its transparence and delicate texture, I appreciate so much.

The high chalk cliffs, the vast forests and the nice cottages of Normandy are my main inspiration.
